Tuning Fork on Resonance Boxes, 2 x 426.6 Hz Type
This variation is supplied as a pair of steel tuning forks mounted on individual resonance boxes for demonstrating sympathetic resonance and beats. One fork is provided with an adjustable mass, allowing the frequency to be shifted from the nominal 426.6 Hz. When both forks are sounded, a clearly audible beat is produced, with the beat rate depending on the difference in frequency between the forks.
