Description

The IEC Kundt’s apparatus is a high-quality teaching system for studying sound waves in a transparent resonance tube, including standing waves, resonance, tones, and musical-instrument style behaviour. The tube includes an 800 mm metric scale for position reference, two side holes with sliding shutters, and an adjustable piston for changing effective tube length during experiments.
The kit includes a miniature microphone that can be moved along the tube to detect sound level changes, plus a mini-speaker that fits to one end of the tube to generate sound waves. A driver is supplied to interface the speaker with an amplifier or oscilloscope.Only a Signal Generator LC-80-LB3754-001 or LC-80-LB3756-101 or LB3758-001 is required to run the equipment. An oscilloscope is ideal for identifying maximum and minimum sound levels during resonance, although an amplifier can also be used for audible observation. An instruction booklet is included for guided practical use.
