Description
Polypropylene balls – Hollow 10 mm are used to reduce heat loss in waterbaths across biomedical, life science, industrial, and commercial kitchen applications such as Sous Vide, sample thawing, bacteriological examinations, warming reagents, coliform determinations, and microbiological assays.
Polypropylene balls – Hollow 10 mm form a movable blanket in any waterbath to reduce evaporation and reduce heat loss by trapping steam under the surface.
The balls move easily out of the way when loading or unloading the bath, making them suitable where frequent access to the bath is required.
They help improve safety by reducing steam, reduce energy usage by trapping heat, and remove the need to lift a lid for access.
The balls are suitable for use across a temperature range from -15°C to +120°C and are sold individually to accommodate any bath size.
The required quantity can be ordered to suit the bath. The recommended quantity is 3 balls for every square centimetre of the bath opening. For example, a bath opening of 300 x 400 mm would require 3600 balls.
