Description
The Chemistry Spectrum Analysis Chart, 37.5 × 25 Inch, also known as a spectral analysis wall chart, is designed for chemistry, physics, astronomy and general science education. This chart shows the visible continuous spectrum of the sun and the emission or bright line spectra of ten relatively common elements, helping students compare how different elements produce distinctive spectral patterns. It provides an excellent beginning point for teaching the individuality of each element’s spectrum and supports discussion of the relationship between spectral lines and atomic shell electrons.
The chart also includes an explanation of red shift, or the Doppler Effect, where the perceived frequency of light changes when the light source is moving at high speed toward or away from the viewer. Absorption bands are shown for didymium glass, chlorophyll and oxyhemoglobin, helping demonstrate how certain materials and solutions selectively absorb one or more bands of light. These characteristic dark bands support classroom discussion of how absorption spectra can help identify the material or solution through which light is passing. A number of line drawings are included to show how spectra may be produced and to clarify other important aspects of spectral analysis.
The chart is printed on durable heavy paper stock and fitted with metal binding strips at the top and bottom. The upper strip includes a tab suitable for wall hanging. The listed measurement is 37.5″ L × 25″ W, providing a clear classroom display format for wall mounting, teacher-led explanation and student reference. This chart is suitable for school science laboratories, chemistry classrooms, physics rooms, astronomy lessons, university teaching laboratories and STEM education environments requiring a visual reference for spectral analysis.
Users should handle the chart carefully and store it flat or suitably mounted to reduce the risk of creasing, tearing or surface wear. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate teacher or laboratory supervision. This item is supplied as the Chemistry Spectrum Analysis Chart only. Wall hooks, display frame, spectroscopes, lamps, filters, worksheets and additional teaching accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Chemistry Spectrum Analysis Charts for school science laboratories, chemistry classrooms, physics teaching, astronomy education and university teaching environments requiring practical visual references for emission spectra, absorption spectra and light analysis.
