Description
The Periodic Table of the Elements with Samples in Acrylic, also known as an acrylic periodic table sample display, is designed for chemistry, general science and STEM education. This teaching set presents element samples enclosed in acrylic, helping students connect periodic table theory with real-world material examples in a compact visual format. The listed size is 160 × 120 × 24 mm, making it suitable for classroom display, teacher-led explanation, student observation and chemistry revision activities. Hazardous elements are not included. Some elements are represented using compounds or impure samples due to their physical state, rarity, radioactivity or reactivity.
Because mercury is a liquid, mercury oxides have been used. Because bromine is a liquid, compounds of bromine have been used. Technetium and promethium are excluded due to their rarity and radioactivity. Thallium is replaced by a similar shape or alloy due to its rarity. The sample elements are enclosed in acrylic and should not be removed, opened, cut, heated, drilled or modified. Maintenance should include storing the set in a dry place, away from corrosive chemicals and heat to help protect the acrylic and enclosed samples.
Some samples may be toxic if ingested. In the unlikely event of breakage, wear gloves and a mask when handling and disposing of samples, and follow the laboratory’s approved disposal procedure. Do not ingest any samples, and keep the set away from young children unless used under close educational supervision. This product is useful for lessons covering element classification, periodic table organisation, metals, non-metals, metalloids, material properties and visual element identification.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate teacher or laboratory supervision. This item is supplied as the Periodic Table of the Elements with Samples Set in Acrylic only. Display case, worksheets, wall chart, safety data sheets and additional teaching accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Periodic Table Sample Sets for school science laboratories, chemistry classrooms, university teaching laboratories and STEM education environments requiring practical visual references for element study and periodic table learning.
