The Hooke’s Law Apparatus with Spring, Scale and Stand, also known as a spring extension apparatus, is designed for demonstrating the relationship between applied force and spring extension in physics teaching laboratories. This complete apparatus includes a 15 cm adjustable scale marked in millimetres, allowing students to observe extension changes clearly during practical experiments. The adjustable scale helps reduce parallax error by allowing better alignment between the indicator and the scale markings during readings.
The scale is mounted on a sturdy 30 cm support rod and wooden base, providing a practical bench-top setup for classroom demonstrations and student investigations. A hook supporting a coiled spring, mass hanger and indicator is attached to the rod, allowing users to add suitable masses and observe spring extension under load.
