Description
The Polypropylene Microcentrifuge Tubes, 2.0 mL, Round Bottom, Non-Sterile, also known as round bottom microcentrifuge tubes, are designed for routine sample handling, storage, preparation and compatible centrifugation workflows in laboratory environments. These tubes have a 2.0 mL volume and round bottom design, making them suitable for general micro-volume sample workflows where compatible round bottom tubes are required. They are supplied in a clear polypropylene format to support visual sample checking during routine use.
The tubes are made from USP VI grade polypropylene and are listed as free from heavy metals. Polypropylene construction supports practical handling across many routine laboratory applications, subject to chemical compatibility and validated procedures. The listed RCF rating is 30,000 × g. Users should confirm centrifuge rotor compatibility, tube size, speed setting, sample type, filling volume and balancing requirements before centrifugation.
The special safelock cap design supports secure lid sealing during routine handling and compatible centrifugation workflows. The cap is designed for easy opening and closing, helping users work efficiently during repeated sample preparation tasks. Clear graduations allow approximate volume reference, while the frosted marking area supports sample identification using suitable laboratory markers. This is useful where multiple tubes need to be labelled, organised and tracked during routine workflows. The tubes are listed as DNase/RNase free, with endotoxin level less than 0.1 EU. They are autoclavable and supplied in a non-sterile format. Sterile versions may be available separately where specified.
LabChoice Australia supplies Polypropylene Microcentrifuge Tubes for school laboratories, university teaching spaces, molecular biology laboratories, research facilities, QC laboratories and routine sample preparation workspaces requiring reliable 2.0 mL round bottom tube handling.
