Portable pH Meter Kit PH850-SL with LabSen 553 Spear Electrode for Direct Soil Testing, 0 to 14 pH, also known as a soil pH meter kit, is designed for professional direct pH measurement in compatible soil samples. This kit is suitable for agriculture, horticulture, greenhouse growing, soil research, environmental testing, education and routine soil-quality workflows where users need direct soil pH measurement without slurry preparation.
The supplied LabSen® 553 PVC 3-in-1 pH/Temperature Spear Electrode is designed for direct soil pH measurement. Its spear-style sensor helps users insert the electrode into suitable soil samples where a standard glass bulb pH electrode would not be practical.
The electrode uses an S-type spear glass membrane, polymer electrolyte, long-life reference system and open/ceramic double-junction structure. These design features support stable soil contact while helping minimise junction clogging during suitable soil testing workflows. The PH850 meter supports 1–3 point pH calibration and automatically recognises pH standards including 1.68, 4.00, 7.00, 10.01 and 12.45. It also includes self-diagnosis, electrode slope display, auto power-off and easy parameter settings for routine operation.
The large LCD display shows pH, temperature, stability status and completed calibration indicators. The IP57 waterproof rating, soft silicone case and foldable stand make the meter suitable for field use, greenhouse testing and benchtop-style laboratory work.
Included with this Portable pH Meter Kit: User Manual, Carrying Case, LabSen® 553 pH/Temp Spear Electrode, Screwdriver, PH850 Meter, pH 10.01 Calibration Solution, pH 7.00 Calibration Solution and pH 4.00 Calibration Solution.
Users should follow correct calibration, rinsing, cleaning and electrode storage procedures to support stable readings and electrode service life. For direct soil testing, soil moisture condition and insertion method should be controlled to reduce electrode stress and improve reading consistency.
