Description
The Digital Dry Block Heater, also known as a dual block laboratory dry block heater, is designed for controlled heating of compatible tubes, vials, sample containers and selected plate formats in routine laboratory workflows. The dual block format is useful where more than one tube type is commonly used at the same workstation. With two standard block positions, users can operate two compatible block inserts on the same unit, supporting flexible sample preparation and temperature-hold procedures.
The heater can accommodate 2 standard block inserts or 1 compatible 96-well block insert. With suitable block inserts, it can hold up to 40 × 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes, making it practical for laboratories handling multiple samples at once. The temperature range extends from ambient +5°C to 200°C, with 0.1°C digital operation and display indication. This supports precise temperature setting and clear monitoring during general laboratory heating applications. A wide range of standard block inserts is available, allowing laboratories to configure the heater for different tube, vial or sample container formats. Users should confirm block and vessel compatibility before operation.
The unit can also be extended with a nitrogen evaporation system for compatible sample concentration workflows. Gas manifolds are available for standard block configurations, supporting evaporation applications where this accessory setup is required. Despite its dual block capacity, the heater is designed with a compact benchtop footprint. This makes it suitable for laboratories that need flexible heating capacity while maintaining efficient workspace organisation.
LabChoice Australia supplies Digital Dry Block Heaters for school laboratories, university teaching spaces, research laboratories, clinical teaching environments and routine sample preparation workspaces. They are suitable for supervised dry heating, sample concentration support, temperature holding and general laboratory heating applications using compatible blocks, vessels and accessories.
