Description
The IEC Hot Plate Water Bath, also known as a hot plate water bath attachment, is designed for laboratory and educational settings where a compatible IEC hot plate is used as the heat source. This bath provides a practical way to perform water bath heating without requiring a separate powered water bath unit. It is useful for school science laboratories, biology classrooms and general teaching environments requiring simple controlled warming workflows. The bath can fit two compatible test tube stands, supporting convenient biological work, sample warming and classroom practical activities.
The ends of the bath slide down to rest on the work bench, providing stable support during use. The same ends can slide up to reduce the overall storage size when the bath is not in operation. The bath may also be used as a dry oven where the laboratory method, temperature requirement and hot plate setup are suitable. Users should confirm the intended use and temperature control method before operation. For improved temperature control, the optional Thermostat Control LC-80-CH4240-101 can be fitted to the edge of the bath to control the hot plate and help hold the water temperature constant. This thermostat control is purchased separately.
For approximate temperature control, careful adjustment of the hot plate heat regulator may keep the water bath reasonably steady, but this is not as regulated or accurate as using the thermostat unit. This product is suitable for educational water bath work, biological sample warming, test tube heating, classroom demonstrations and selected laboratory heating applications using compatible IEC hot plates. Users should confirm hot plate compatibility, thermostat requirement, bath fill level, test tube stand fit and safe operating temperature before use. Hot water, heated metal surfaces and hot glassware should be handled with appropriate PPE and supervision.
This item is supplied as the water bath only. IEC hot plate, thermostat control, test tube stands, tubes, thermometer, samples and additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
