Description
The Spring Balance Newton Meters, also known as plastic and aluminium Newton meters, are designed for direct force measurement in physics, education and practical demonstration settings. They are suitable for school laboratories, university teaching laboratories, mechanics classrooms, preparation rooms and general force measurement activities. This range is supplied in plastic and aluminium construction, providing a practical format for routine student use and repeated classroom handling. The Newton meter design supports simple measurement of applied force during hands-on mechanics experiments.
Available ranges cover 100 g or 1 N through to 5000 g or 50 N. These options allow teachers, students and laboratory users to select a suitable spring balance according to the expected force, load size and required reading sensitivity. The gram division increments vary by model, from 2 g divisions on the 100 g or 1 N option through to 50 g divisions on the 5000 g or 50 N option. Selecting the correct range helps improve readability and prevents overloading during practical work.
These spring balances are useful for measuring pulling force, load changes, spring extension response, friction force and applied force in mechanics demonstrations. They are also described for basic accelerometer-style activities in physics, where force and motion concepts are being introduced. One newton corresponds approximately to the weight of about one tenth of a kilogram of mass under standard classroom explanation. This makes the gram and Newton range format useful for linking mass, weight and force concepts during introductory science lessons. These spring balances are intended for educational, laboratory and general force measurement demonstrations. They are not described as certified calibration instruments, so users should select them for practical teaching and routine force measurement rather than precision calibration work.
LabChoice Australia supplies Plastic and Aluminium Spring Balance Newton Meters for school physics departments, university teaching laboratories, science classrooms, industry training spaces and general laboratory environments. They are suitable for supervised experiments covering force measurement, weight, friction, load change, spring extension, Newton’s laws and basic motion studies.
