Description
The Scale Pans with Hooks, also known as laboratory hanging scale pans, are designed for mechanics experiments, force demonstrations and routine educational weighing setups. They are suitable for school physics laboratories, university teaching laboratories, preparation rooms and supervised science classroom activities. This range supports hanging load arrangements used with compatible pulleys, spring sets, balances and force experiment systems. The pans provide a practical way to hold small masses or experiment materials during classroom demonstrations. Traditional scale pan options are supplied in plastic or metal formats, with a stated pan size of 75 mm diameter × 12 mm deep. These formats are suitable for common educational apparatus where a pan and hook arrangement is required.
The hook is described as a strong hook of the same style used in pulley sheaves. This supports practical hanging connection in compatible classroom mechanics setups. The plastic scale pan uses three miniature chains to connect the pan to the hook. This supports stable suspension and helps keep the pan level during suitable hanging load applications. Metal scale pan options are listed in aluminium and brass construction. These traditional metal pans use three suspension connections between the pan and hook, as described in the supplied specifications, and should be selected according to the required material and classroom setup.
A one-piece black nylon scale pan option is also available. This pan is stated as 100 mm diameter × 12 mm deep, with hinged sides that pull together to form an integrated hook. The one-piece design has no separate cords or loose hook parts to lose or break.
LabChoice Australia supplies Scale Pans with Hooks for school physics departments, university teaching laboratories, science classrooms and educational mechanics workspaces. They are suitable for supervised weighing demonstrations, hanging load experiments, pulley systems, spring extension studies and force measurement activities using compatible apparatus.
