Description
The Brass Slotted Weights, also known as slotted masses for mechanics experiments, are designed for laboratory and educational use where controlled hanging loads are required. They are suitable for school physics laboratories, university teaching laboratories, mechanics demonstrations and general force experiment setups. This range includes individual brass slotted weights, mixed mass sets and complete slotted weight sets mounted on matching brass carriers with hooks. The slotted design allows weights to be added or removed from a compatible carrier during practical work without dismantling the full setup. The 50 g brass slotted weight set consists of nine 50 g brass slotted weights mounted on a 50 g brass carrier with hook. The total mass is 500 g, and the stated accuracy is 1%. Individual 50 g slotted weights and compatible carriers are also available separately.
The 100 g brass slotted weight set consists of nine 100 g brass slotted weights mounted on a 100 g brass carrier with hook. The total mass is 1000 g, and the stated accuracy is 1%. This set is suitable where heavier load combinations are required for classroom mechanics experiments. Individual brass slotted weights are available in 5 g, 10 g, 20 g, 25 g, 50 g and 100 g options. The 20 g, 25 g, 50 g and 100 g individual weights are stated as suitable for the standard slotted weight carrier, with accuracy stated as better than 1% where supplied. The 5 g and 10 g options are described as pressed brass slotted weights with a cropped slot shape. These smaller masses support finer load adjustment in suitable classroom and laboratory setups.
Mixed brass slotted weight sets are also available. The 200 g set includes 1 × 10 g, 2 × 20 g, 1 × 50 g and 1 × 100 g, with stated accuracy of 1%. The 35 g set includes 1 × 5 g, 1 × 10 g and 1 × 20 g, with stated accuracy of 2%. These weights are suitable for force experiments, pulley setups, spring investigations, inclined plane activities, balance demonstrations and general hanging load applications. Users should select the carrier, mass range and accuracy according to the intended experiment.
LabChoice Australia supplies Brass Slotted Weights for school physics departments, university teaching laboratories, science classrooms and educational mechanics workspaces. They are suitable for supervised experiments involving force, mass, acceleration, spring extension, pulley systems, inclined planes and hanging load demonstrations using compatible carriers and safe classroom procedures.
