Description
The Air Track Coil Springs for SHM Experiments, also known as air track glider springs, are designed for compatible air track gliders used in simple harmonic motion and dynamics experiments. The 300 mm coil spring is intended for glider motion experiments involving simple harmonic motion, allowing students to observe oscillation behaviour under approved low-friction conditions. The 60 mm coil spring is designed to join compatible gliders together to form an SHM system, supporting demonstrations where connected gliders move as part of a spring-coupled setup.
These springs are useful for lessons covering simple harmonic motion, restoring force, oscillation, displacement, velocity, acceleration, energy transfer and air track-based dynamics. Users should confirm the air track model, glider type, spring length, attachment method, spring holder compatibility and experiment requirement before ordering or use. The coil spring should be inspected before each activity. Do not use if it is overstretched, bent, corroded, loose or damaged.
