Description
The Air Track Magnet for Glider, Alnico, 50 g, also known as an air track glider magnet, is designed for compatible air track glider systems used in physics and mechanics experiments. This magnet is made from Alnico material as listed and is designed to fit into the compatible glider spine. The magnet has a listed mass of 50 g, allowing it to be used as both a magnetic interaction accessory and a defined mass component in suitable air track demonstrations. It is useful for experiments involving non-contact forces, magnetic attraction, magnetic repulsion, collision modelling, momentum, kinetic behaviour and low-friction motion.
The magnet can support classroom investigations where students observe how magnetic forces influence glider motion without direct mechanical contact. Users should confirm the air track model, glider spine design, magnet fit, polarity arrangement, mass requirement and approved experiment procedure before ordering or use. The magnet should be fitted securely before the glider is operated. Do not use if the magnet is cracked, chipped, loose or incompatible with the selected glider.
