Description
The Multi Tube Vortex Mixer, also known as a laboratory rack vortex mixer, is designed for routine tube mixing workflows where hands-free, timed or continuous vortex mixing is required. This mixer can hold a standard test tube rack full of tubes of equal length, provided the rack and tubes fit within the maximum platform size and vertical clearance. The platform size is listed as 320 × 200 mm, with maximum vertical clearance of 250 mm. The speed control is continuously variable from 750 to 3000 rpm with load, allowing users to adjust the mixing action according to sample type, tube format, rack setup and workflow requirement.
For timed operation, the countdown mode can be set up to 99 minutes 59 seconds. The pulse mode allows operation in cycles of up to 99 seconds on and up to 99 seconds off, supporting repeated mixing patterns for compatible samples. The Multi Tube Vortex Mixer can also be used as a manual vortex mixer when the clamping plate is removed. In this setup, suitable tubes or flasks can be held against the platform at different angles to achieve the desired mixing action. The unit has a 4 mm orbit diameter and uses a 12 V DC motor. Power requirement is listed as 240 V AC, 40 W. Overall dimensions are listed as W325 × D300 × H440 mm.
This mixer is suitable for sample resuspension, reagent mixing, tube rack mixing, teaching laboratory practicals, quality control sample preparation, research workflows and general laboratory mixing applications using suitable vessels and validated procedures. Users should confirm rack size, tube length, tube diameter, liquid volume, cap security, sample containment and required speed range before use. Tubes should be properly sealed where required to reduce spillage or aerosol risk during vortex mixing. This item is supplied as the multi tube vortex mixer only. Test tube racks, tubes, flasks, samples and any additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Multi Tube Vortex Mixers for school laboratories, university teaching spaces, research laboratories, QC laboratories, diagnostic preparation areas and general science laboratories requiring practical rack-based vortex mixing equipment.
