Description
The Dissecting Scissors, also known as laboratory dissection scissors, are designed for controlled cutting, trimming and tissue handling in laboratory, teaching, anatomy, biology and medical training environments. They are suitable for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories, biology laboratories, preparation rooms and supervised dissection workflows.
This range includes micro curved, micro straight and straight dissecting scissors. The different patterns allow users to select the scissor style according to the required cutting angle, access requirement, tip preference and dissection task. The micro curved 13 cm option supports fine controlled cutting where a compact curved instrument is required. The curved pattern is useful for precision work where access angle and controlled tip placement are important during suitable dissection activities. The micro straight 13 cm option provides a compact straight cutting pattern for detailed dissection work. It supports fine cutting and controlled handling where a straight instrument profile is preferred.
Straight dissecting scissors are available in sharp/blunt, sharp/sharp and blunt/blunt tip formats. Sharp/sharp tips support precise cutting, sharp/blunt tips combine cutting control with a less sharp opposing tip, and blunt/blunt tips are suitable where a non-sharp tip format is preferred for handling or manipulation. Length options include 12.5 cm, 13 cm and 14 cm, depending on the selected variation. This allows laboratories and teaching environments to choose a suitable instrument length for the user, specimen size and dissection method. All listed variations are manufactured from stainless steel AISI 420 grade. Users should follow suitable cleaning, drying, storage and handling procedures to help maintain instrument condition during repeated laboratory or educational use.
These scissors are sharp laboratory instruments and should be handled with care. They are intended for laboratory, teaching and educational use under appropriate supervision, and should not be used for clinical procedures unless approved by the relevant facility protocol.
LabChoice Australia supplies Dissecting Scissors for school biology departments, university teaching laboratories, anatomy classrooms, preparation rooms, research laboratories and medical training environments. They are suitable for supervised dissection, specimen preparation, tissue handling, trimming and controlled cutting tasks using appropriate laboratory procedures.
