Centrifuge Tube Holder Disk Accessory, also known as a 15 mL tube rotator disk, is designed to hold up to 16 compatible 15 mL centrifuge tubes during rotational mixing. It provides an organised tube-loading configuration for laboratories using a compatible LCD display rotator.
The 16-place design allows multiple centrifuge tubes to be processed during the same operating cycle. This can improve workflow efficiency when several samples require mixing under consistent operating conditions, reducing the need to handle or mix each tube individually.
When correctly installed on the compatible rotator, the disk moves with the instrument’s circular rotating action. The rotator controls the operating speed, mixing time and rotational angle, allowing laboratory personnel to select conditions appropriate for their established procedures.
This accessory is suitable for mixing compatible samples, reagents and suspensions contained in securely closed 15 mL centrifuge tubes. The rotational movement may be used where controlled and continuous tube motion is preferred to vigorous vortexing or repeated manual shaking.
Before operation, tubes should be securely capped and positioned correctly within the disk. When fewer than 16 tubes are loaded, they should be distributed as evenly as practical to support balanced rotation and stable instrument operation.
