Description
The Handheld Homogenizer, also known as a handheld dispersing homogenizer, is designed for small-volume sample disruption, dispersion, emulsification and homogenisation in biology, medical, pharmaceutical, chemistry, materials, food science, cosmetic formulation, environmental testing and university research laboratories.
The unit provides a speed range from 8000 to 32000 rpm with 10-stage speed control. This allows users to adjust processing intensity according to the sample type, vessel size, viscosity, shaft configuration and laboratory method.
The supplied working volume is listed as 0.1 to 50 mL, making the homogenizer suitable for small-volume sample preparation. Broader processing volumes may be supported where a compatible shaft is selected and confirmed for the application.
The maximum viscosity is stated as 5000 mPa·s for compatible homogenising applications. Listed maximum linear velocity values include 6.3 m/sec, 10 m/sec and 14 m/sec, depending on the shaft configuration used.
The dispersing shaft material is listed as SS 316L stainless steel and PTFE. The supplied product features state that 316L stainless steel shafts are fully autoclavable, supporting suitable cleaning and reuse procedures where compatible with the selected shaft and laboratory method.
The homogenizer is portable, lightweight and ergonomically designed for manual operation. Its interchangeable shaft design supports easier dismantling and cleaning, helping laboratories manage different sample types and preparation workflows with better flexibility.
Typical applications include pre-treatment of plant and animal tissue samples, drug carrier formulation development, emulsions, liposomes, nanodispersions, water/oil phase emulsification, creams, lotions, syrups, dairy products, sauces, polymer dispersion, additive dispersion, nanomaterial preparation and soil or sediment sample pre-treatment.
LabChoice Australia supplies this Handheld Homogenizer for biology laboratories, medical research laboratories, pharmaceutical laboratories, chemistry laboratories, materials laboratories, food science laboratories, cosmetic formulation laboratories, environmental testing laboratories and university research institutes. The unit has an AC carbon brush motor, 160 W power, IP20 protection class, 72 dB(A) noise level, dimensions of 45 × 55 × 190 mm and weight of 0.54 kg. It operates from 110 to 120 V at 60 Hz or 220 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, with permissible ambient temperature from 0 to 40°C and permissible ambient humidity up to 85% RH.
