Optical d-Timer Non-Contact Ticker Tape Timer, also known as an optical ticker tape timer, is designed for motion experiments where users need to measure the travelled length or distance of ticker tape without direct contact.
This timer uses a built-in optical image sensor to measure ticker tape movement in a non-contact way. When connected by USB to a PC or tablet PC, the timer works with its dedicated web application to process motion data from the ticker tape.
The dedicated web application, OPTICAL-d-TIMER-WEB, automatically generates a distance-time graph on the connected PC or tablet PC. It also supports velocity-time graph and acceleration data display, helping users analyse motion more clearly during practical science and laboratory activities.
This product is supplied under the brand Narika. The main advantage of the timer and web application is that users can create a distance-time graph instantly, reducing manual plotting work and supporting more efficient motion analysis.
