Description
Medium Rocking Platform Mixer range is used for simple adjustment between gentle and aggressive agitation for tasks including blot washing, gel staining and destaining, and hybridisation applications.
This combined medium rocking platform mixer range includes analogue and digital models with a 350 mm square platform, tilt-adjustable rocking motion, super-quiet operation, and a long-life brushless AC motor. The analogue model provides a low-cost general-purpose option with solid state analogue speed control, while the digital model supports reproducible speed and timer control for repeatable mixing and washing applications.
The analogue ERPM4 is a basic benchtop rocking platform suitable for a wide range of mixing applications, with a single front-mounted analogue control for speed adjustment. The digital RPM5 provides an easy-to-read front panel with a large LED display that can show set speed and actual speed.
Slow acceleration is incorporated into the drive system to reduce the risk of spillage. Both models can run for extended periods unattended when required. A nitrile mat is supplied fitted to the platform and is suitable for holding containers at low speeds. For higher speeds, optional racks are available.
The RR5 Universal Rack has adjustable horizontal rubber-covered bars that can be positioned to hold different sizes and types of containers, including test tube racks, trays and flasks. For the analogue model, stainless steel tulip clips are also available, dedicated to conical flasks from 50 mL to 2 litre. Also known as a see-saw rocker, see-saw mixer, wave motion mixer, rocking shaker, analogue shaker, digital shaker, or laboratory shaker.
