This variation is supplied as a spare superconductivity disc only. The disc size is 29 mm diameter x 2.9 mm thick and should be handled with care. The stated lifespan depends on maintenance and is approximately 2 years. Humidity, moisture, and water will break the disc down, and when the crystals break down they will produce a whitish haze. Its life span can be increased by storing it protected in a freezer or refrigerator to keep the humidity down. It can also be placed in a small oven at 150°C after use to dry it out.
