Description
The Daniell Cell, 125 × 75 mm, with Support and Terminal, also known as a Daniel cell or galvanic cell demonstration apparatus, is designed for practical teaching of electrochemistry, redox reactions and basic battery principles. This apparatus demonstrates how a chemical reaction can produce electrical energy through the transfer of electrons from zinc to copper via an external conducting path. The outer copper vessel is listed as 125 × 75 mm and includes a perforated shelf and terminal, supporting connection during approved classroom electrochemistry demonstrations.
The set includes a porous pot listed as 150 × 50 mm, which is used in the Daniell cell arrangement to help separate the cell solutions while allowing ionic movement according to the experiment method. A zinc rod listed as 125 × 12 mm is included, with support and terminal for practical setup and electrical connection. This Daniell cell apparatus is useful for explaining oxidation, reduction, galvanic cells, electrode reactions, ion movement, current flow and the relationship between chemical change and electrical output. It is suitable for school science laboratories, chemistry classrooms, university teaching laboratories and STEM education environments requiring practical apparatus for electrochemistry demonstrations.
Users should confirm the required solutions, concentrations, connecting leads, voltmeter or load device, safety requirements and approved experiment procedure before use. All electrochemistry activities should be carried out with suitable PPE, careful handling of chemical solutions and proper disposal of chemical waste according to the laboratory procedure.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate teacher or laboratory supervision. This item is supplied as the Daniell cell apparatus with outer copper vessel, porous pot, zinc rod, support and terminals only. Chemical solutions, beakers, voltmeter, wires, load devices, worksheets and additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Daniell Cell Apparatus for school science laboratories, chemistry classrooms, university teaching laboratories and STEM education environments requiring practical equipment for redox and electrochemistry demonstrations.
