Geiger Counter Digital LCD Time/Rate, Remote GM Tube, No Tube, No Battery, No Plug Pack
Digital Geiger counter with LCD time and rate display, designed for use with a remote GM tube in a holder connected via a standard BNC plug. Powered by 3 × AA cells, with Lo Batt warning. This variant is supplied without the GM tube, batteries, or plug pack. A socket is provided for a standard 240/12 V AC plug pack to run the unit if the cells flatten. Counts can be selected to be continuous, counts over preset times, or rate displayed as counts/second. Tube voltage can be adjusted up to 500 V. The large sensitive tube referenced is the thin mica window type and detects gamma, beta and high energy alpha particles. The instrument is light, very robust and is useful for both field work and the classroom. Other models are available with inbuilt tube.

240 V AC mains powered Geiger counter using a remote GM tube in a holder connected by standard BNC plug. Ideal for classroom use with sloping front panel and large red LED display. Other models are available for portable use and with inbuilt tube. The large sensitive tube referenced is the thin mica window type and detects gamma, beta and high energy alpha particles. Tube voltage is adjustable to 600 V and inbuilt loudspeaker with volume control permits counts to easily be heard. Counts can be selected to be continuous, counts over preset times, or rate displayed as counts/second.
