Description
An oil and water separator receiver apparatus is designed for efficient phase separation and collection of immiscible liquids during distillation, extraction, and essential oil recovery processes. Manufactured from high quality LabChoice BORO 3.3 borosilicate glass, the apparatus provides excellent thermal stability, low thermal expansion, and strong chemical resistance in accordance with ISO 3585 and ASTM E438 Type I laboratory glassware standards.
The separator receiver allows condensed distillate to flow into a calibrated separation chamber where oil and aqueous phases naturally separate by density. Its precision formed design supports controlled collection of essential oils while allowing excess water to return to the boiling system or be drained as required. Clear glass construction enables continuous visual monitoring of phase separation, improving accuracy during essential oil extraction, steam distillation, and solvent recovery workflows. Smooth internal surfaces minimise residue retention and simplify cleaning between runs.
Supplied by LabChoice Australia, this oil and water separator receiver is widely used in university laboratories, research facilities, teaching environments, and pilot scale processing applications across Australia. It is an essential component for essential oil extraction, botanical distillation, analytical separations, and quality control testing where reliable phase separation, repeatability, and long term laboratory performance are critical.
