Description
The Membrane Filters, also known as laboratory filtration membrane discs, are designed for sample preparation, liquid filtration, particulate retention and routine laboratory clarification workflows. This range includes MCE, nylon and hydrophilic PTFE membrane options. Each membrane type is suited to different filtration needs, so users should select the media according to sample chemistry, solvent compatibility and the required filtration method.
MCE membrane filters are commonly used for aqueous sample filtration, general laboratory clarification and microbiology-related filtration workflows where mixed cellulose ester media is suitable.
Nylon membrane filters provide a practical option for many aqueous and selected solvent-based samples, depending on chemical compatibility. They are useful where strength, wetting behaviour and routine sample preparation performance are required.
Hydrophilic PTFE membrane filters are supplied for applications where a PTFE membrane with water-wettable behaviour is preferred. Users should confirm compatibility with the sample, solvent system and filtration apparatus before use.
The available pore sizes include 0.22 µm and 0.45 µm. The 0.22 µm options support finer particulate retention, while the 0.45 µm options are suitable for routine clarification and general laboratory filtration where that pore rating is required. Diameter options include 13 mm, 25 mm and 47 mm.
