Description

The IEC Hall Effect kit includes the power unit and Hall probe for measuring magnetic fields in teaching and laboratory magnetic experiments. The power supply provides a constant-current output intended for driving solenoids, with the current held steady even if the load resistance changes due to heating. The unit also displays magnetic flux density in mT as detected by the Hall probe, supporting direct field measurement during practical work.
Output ranges include 0–2 A constant current with up to 25 V DC available, plus two magnetic field ranges of 0–10 mT and 0–100 mT. The meter can be switched from showing output amps to monitoring output volts when required. For full magnetic experiments, additional field equipment is required, including a pair of Helmholtz coils and an air cored solenoid.
