Description
IEC free fall apparatus options for timing falling motion using an adjustable upper platform on a vertical rail and a lower impact sensing platform. Configurations include mechanical release models using a metallic ball to create the start electrical connection and a bottom plate to stop timing on impact, and solenoid release models for steel balls where a compatible digital timer powers the solenoid and releases the ball automatically when timing starts. Available in 1 m or 1.5 m rail height, supplied with specified ball sets and either with or without the required timer, with cables and plugs included where stated.
IEC free fall apparatus with 1 m fall height using mechanical release and three balls of different sizes and materials. Upper platform position is adjustable on the 1 m vertical rail to set different fall distances. An electronic timer connects to upper and lower platforms to sense start and stop, timer not included in this model. Metallic ball creates the electrical start connection at the upper platform start sockets, and the lower plate senses the ball striking to stop timing. By gently pulling a strong cord, the ball is held against the underside of the upper platform to make the start connection, then when the pin is pulled from the ball it falls to start timing and stops timing on impact.The timer can be the LC-80-LB4057-001 (LCD) or LC-80-LB4064-101 (red LED) or any one of several others. All cables and plugs are supplied in the kit. IN THIS MODEL, THE TIMER IS NOT INCLUDED.
