Description
The Air Track Buffer Spring, Stainless Steel, with Screw, also known as an air track elastic buffer spring, is designed for compatible air track systems used in physics and mechanics experiments. This buffer spring and mount is made from stainless steel and is supplied with a screw for suitable installation on approved air track equipment. The spring is designed to fit to the end of compatible tracks and to the ends of compatible air track gliders, supporting elastic collision and rebound demonstrations.
It is listed as fitting both old and newer models of air track gliders, making it a practical spare part for laboratories maintaining mixed air track equipment. This accessory is useful for lessons covering elastic collisions, momentum, kinetic energy transfer, rebound behaviour, force interaction and low-friction motion. Users should confirm the air track model, glider model, mounting point, screw fit and experiment requirement before ordering or use. The buffer spring should be fitted securely before the air track is operated. Do not use if the spring, mount or screw is loose, damaged, corroded or incompatible with the selected setup.
