Description
The Handheld Turbidity Meter, also known as a portable turbidity tester, is designed for measuring turbidity in water and liquid samples in laboratory, educational and field-based testing environments.
This meter uses the 90° scattered light principle, where light scattered by suspended particles is detected at a right angle to the incident light path. This method supports practical turbidity measurement for assessing sample clarity and suspended particle presence. The instrument measures from 0 to 200 NTU, making it suitable for routine turbidity checks in water testing, environmental science activities, educational demonstrations and general laboratory sample assessment. The minimum reading is 0.1 NTU, allowing small turbidity changes to be observed within the stated measuring range. The listed indicator error is ±8% or ±2.5% F.S, with repeatability stated as ≤1%.
The supplied specification lists zero drift as ±1% F.S, supporting stable routine measurement when the instrument is used, zeroed and maintained according to the operating procedure. Power options include AC 220 V or 110 V, 50/60 Hz where applicable, plus DC 7.5 V / 0.2 A adapter operation and 5 × AA battery operation.
