Description
Dual-Function Oil-Free Vacuum Pump for Vacuum and Pressure, also known as an oilless laboratory vacuum and pressure pump, is designed for controlled air and gas handling applications where both suction and pressure operation may be required. The oil-free design helps reduce maintenance, avoids pump oil handling, and supports cleaner laboratory operation compared with oil-lubricated pump systems.
This pump is suitable for routine laboratory, educational, technical and light industrial environments where reliable vacuum or pressure support is needed. It can be used for vacuum filtration, vacuum manifolds, laboratory suction, air sampling, pressure-assisted air handling, drying support and general non-liquid gas transfer applications. The vacuum and pressure functions should be used separately and must not be operated at the same time.
With a vacuum flow rate of 12 L/min, this pump provides practical airflow for small to medium benchtop applications. The maximum vacuum is rated at ≥0.075 MPa, approximately ≥75 kPa, making it suitable for compatible vacuum filtration glassware and other light to medium vacuum setups. The maximum pressure is supplied as 3.0 kg by the manufacturer, and this pressure rating should be confirmed before use in pressure-sensitive applications.
The 80 W motor supports efficient operation while maintaining stable performance during routine laboratory tasks. The pump is designed for low noise and low vibration, making it suitable for benchtop use in teaching laboratories, testing areas and general scientific workspaces. Its simple structure also makes operation straightforward for users who require a compact, low-maintenance pump for regular laboratory workflows.
For safe and reliable use, the pump should only be used for air and gas handling. It is not suitable for direct liquid pumping. When used with filtration systems, moisture-generating processes, vapours or condensate-producing applications, a suitable trap bottle, buffer bottle or moisture protection vessel should be installed between the application and the pump. This helps prevent liquid, powder, vapour residue or contaminants from entering the pump and causing internal damage.
The pump operates from 110 V to 240 V and is suitable for use within an environmental temperature range of -10°C to 55°C. It is designed for oil-free, maintenance-free operation under normal recommended conditions, helping reduce service requirements and improve day-to-day usability. Users should ensure all tubing, connectors and fittings are secure before operation and should stop the pump immediately if abnormal heat, noise, vibration, burning smell or unstable performance is noticed.
LabChoice Australia supplies this dual-function oil-free vacuum pump for laboratories, schools, universities, testing facilities and technical users requiring a compact air and gas handling pump. Its combination of oil-free operation, vacuum and pressure functionality, stable airflow and low-maintenance design makes it a practical choice for general laboratory vacuum and pressure applications.
