Description
The Polycarbonate Bench Top Safety Screen, also known as a laboratory bench safety shield, is designed to provide a clear physical barrier during compatible laboratory and educational demonstrations. This bench top safety screen is made from high quality clear polycarbonate with a listed thickness of 3 mm, allowing visibility of the experiment area while helping separate users from splashes, fragments or demonstration materials within the intended use. The screen size is listed as 600 × 600 mm, with a listed depth of 400 mm, giving a practical bench-mounted format for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories and general laboratory work areas.
The unit features a new interlocking design. During assembly, the hooked tabs on the side panel engage into the slots on the front panel and slide upward until the locking barb clicks into the bottom slot. For disassembly, the bottom of the front panel near the side panel is flexed to disengage the locking barb, then the front panel is slid downward to release the hooked tabs. This safety screen is suitable for use as a bench top barrier during supervised demonstrations, sample handling, teaching activities and laboratory procedures where a clear protective screen is required.
Users should confirm the required screen size, bench space, chemical compatibility, cleaning method, risk level and suitability for the planned procedure before use. Polycarbonate may be affected by some solvents, harsh cleaning agents or excessive heat. Do not use as a substitute for a fume cupboard, certified biological safety cabinet, blast shield or specialised radiation shield unless the application has been assessed and approved.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the polycarbonate bench top safety screen only. Gloves, goggles, fume extraction, mounting hardware, spill trays, PPE and additional laboratory safety equipment are not included unless specified separately.
