Diffraction Grating Card, Classroom Spectrum Comparison Holder
$55.00(Ex GST)
- Card-mounted grating with three apertures, 100, 300, 600 lines/mm, in one holder for comparison.
- Shows how line density changes spectral separation, colour spacing, and brightness when viewing a light source.
- Card size 90 × 30 × 2.5 mm, easy to handle, align, and mount in optics rigs.
- Three windows contain grating replicas, quick switching without touching the grating surface, reduces damage risk.
- Laboratory and educational use only, supervise handling, keep flat and clean to protect the gratings.

Description
This diffraction grating set is mounted in a rigid card holder for classroom and laboratory optics demonstrations. It includes three apertures containing diffraction grating replicas of 100, 300 and 600 lines per mm, allowing direct comparison of how grating line density affects the observed spectrum. Higher line density increases angular dispersion, so the colour bands separate more clearly compared with lower line density gratings.
The card mount measures 90 × 30 × 2.5 mm, making it easy to hold, align, and use in typical spectroscopy or light and colour practicals. It is intended to demonstrate the diffraction grating principle and the dependence of spectral separation on the number of lines per unit length.
Our products are for use in laboratory or educational settings only. Use under appropriate supervision.
