Description

The IEC inclinometer, also called a clinometer, is a simple self-contained instrument for measuring the angle of incline or decline from the observer to a target object. The user sights the object through the viewing tube and centres it at the sight opening, then presses a button to release an internal swinging pendulum marked in degrees.
After a few seconds for the pendulum to stabilise, the button is released to clamp the pendulum firmly in place. The incline or decline angle is then read directly from the graduated scale, supporting quick field measurements and classroom demonstrations of slope and angle.

FAQs
Q: What does this inclinometer measure?
A: The angle of incline or decline from the observer to an object.
Q: How is the target aligned?
A: By looking through the viewing tube and centring the object in the sight.
Q: How is the angle indicated?
A: A swinging pendulum graduated in degrees.
Q: What does the button do?
A: Pressing releases the pendulum, releasing the button clamps it for reading.
Q: How long does it take to get a reading?
