Description
The NEST Polystyrene Petri Dishes, also known as sterile vented cell culture Petri dishes, are designed for routine microbiology, cell culture, colony observation and laboratory plate handling workflows. They are suitable for microbiology laboratories, cell culture laboratories, biotechnology laboratories, university laboratories, teaching laboratories and research facilities. Each dish is made from high-clarity polystyrene and has a stated size of 90 × 15 mm. The flat transparent surface supports clear viewing of colonies, cell growth or culture appearance during routine laboratory observation.
The vented design supports gas exchange during compatible culture and incubation workflows. This makes the dishes suitable for routine microbiology plate work and general cell culture applications where a vented Petri dish format is required. A numeric mark on the base helps simplify sample identification and tracking. This supports organised handling when multiple dishes are prepared, incubated, inspected or stored during laboratory workflows.
The dishes are stackable, supporting efficient use of incubator, bench and storage space. This helps laboratories manage repeated plate handling, bulk preparation and routine workflow organisation. The supplied packaging is stated as PA/PE. The dishes are E-beam sterilised to SAL 10⁻⁶ and supplied as non-pyrogenic, supporting use in suitable sterile laboratory workflows where the supplied specification matches the method requirement. The dish volume is stated as 40 mL. The supplied carton details list a bulk case quantity of 500 pcs, carton size of 49 × 49 × 36 cm and approximate carton weight of 9 kg. The product title specifies pack of 20 pcs, so users should confirm pack and carton ordering format before purchase.
LabChoice Australia supplies NEST Polystyrene Petri Dishes for microbiology laboratories, cell culture laboratories, biotechnology facilities, university research laboratories, teaching laboratories and routine testing environments. They are suitable for compatible colony observation, culture handling, incubation workflows and sterile plate preparation using validated laboratory procedures.
