Description
Magnetic Stirrer Hotplate IKA RCT Basic is a single-position laboratory hotplate stirrer designed for reliable heating and magnetic stirring in research, education, quality control and routine laboratory environments. It is suitable for stirring quantities up to 20 L of water and reaches a hotplate temperature of up to 310°C, making it practical for solution preparation, reagent warming, sample mixing and controlled heated stirring workflows. The tempered shatterproof glass surface supports chemical resistance and easy cleaning for daily bench-top laboratory use.
The IKA RCT Basic provides a speed range of 50 to 1,500 rpm with LED display for set and actual speed values. It features a maintenance-free EC motor, 600 W heat output and a maximum load capacity of 25 kg, supporting dependable stirring performance with compatible vessels and magnetic stir bars. The unit also includes an external temperature sensor connection, with PT 1000.60 included in delivery, allowing temperature measurement and control directly in the reaction medium where suitable.
For practical laboratory operation, the RCT Basic includes a large LED display, illuminated status symbols, USB and RS232 interfaces for control or documentation of test parameters, and compatibility with labworldsoft® laboratory software. Its energy-efficient design uses improved insulation, an electronic switching power supply and a maintenance-free motor to reduce self-heating of the hotplate during stirring operation.
