Description

Digital Shaking Waterbath range is used across biomedical, life science, and industrial applications, as well as commercial kitchen cooking techniques such as Sous Vide. Specific applications include cell cultures, cell aeration, increasing solubility rates, molecular biology assays, bacterial cultures, and hybridisation applications.

This combined shaking waterbath range includes Compact and Large Digital Shaking Waterbath models for temperature-controlled waterbath operation with agitation. The compact model is a smaller-capacity, low-temperature precision heated shaking waterbath designed for low-volume work with gentle agitation, while the large model is suited to procedures where temperature-controlled water and agitation are required.

The compact model has stainless steel construction, compact shaking bath operation up to 70°C, cradle dimensions of W230 x D150 x H120 mm, and a 20 to 130 strokes per minute speed range. The bath is heated from beneath the cradle using a heating plate to support easier cleaning, and the high-grade stainless steel tank has rounded corners that also aid cleaning.

The large model includes precision digital PID control with LCD display, a super-quiet long-life brushless AC motor, a large 330 x 310 mm platform, and independently operated heating and shaking functions. The waterbath and shaker have individual controls and can operate independently, with actual bath temperature shown on the LCD display.

When the shaking cradle is removed from the large model, the supplied perforated stainless steel panel supports flasks and containers. The platform drive has 4 different travel settings and includes slow acceleration to reduce the risk of spillage. Food-grade polished stainless steel is used for the tank and platform components, while the outer case is made from corrosion-resistant plastic for durability.

A nitrile mat and optional racks or lids may support suitable container holding and temperature control depending on the model. For the large model, an optional RR20 rack with adjustable horizontal bars attached to the shaking cradle is available to secure flasks and containers when required. Gabled stainless steel or polycarbonate lids are available to support accurate temperature control and minimise water loss through evaporation.
