Description
Portable pH Meter Kit PH8500-HF with LabSen 833 Electrode for Strong Acid and HF Solutions, -2.00 to 16.00 pH, also known as an HF-compatible pH meter kit, is designed for specialised pH measurement in compatible strong acid and hydrofluoric acid solution workflows. This kit is intended for trained laboratory users working with corrosive samples, strong acid solutions, selected HF-containing solutions and storage battery solution applications. Hydrofluoric acid requires strict safety controls, so users should follow approved laboratory procedures before use.
The supplied LabSen® 833 pH electrode is designed for measurement in selected strong acid and hydrofluoric acid solutions. Supplied information states that HF testing should be limited to concentrations below 0.1 mol/L or 0.2 wt%, with measurement time below 1 minute.
The electrode uses an HF glass membrane, blue gel inner solution and silver-ion-trap reference system. These design features support measurement in compatible acid sample workflows where ordinary pH electrodes may not be suitable. The kit also includes an MP500 temperature electrode for temperature measurement with the PH8500 meter. The PH8500 meter provides self-diagnosis, calibration reminders, calibration date checking, clock display and easy parameter setting for controlled routine operation.
GLP standard data management supports up to 500 stored data sets, with manual or automatic storage. USB data output and the supplied software flash drive support data transfer for review, analysis and reporting. The large white backlit LCD, IP57 waterproof rating, soft silicone case and foldable stand make the meter suitable for handheld use and benchtop-style laboratory operation.

For HF and strong acid samples, concentration limit, contact time, chemical compatibility, PPE and disposal procedure must be confirmed before routine testing.
