Description

IEC mains powered 240V AC signal generators for laboratory and education use, covering waveform generation for resonance, audio and oscilloscope experiments. Options include Mini-Wave with crystal locked accuracy and up to 1A current limited output, a high power generator with dual impedance outputs, Wave-Lab dual generator for phase shift, modulation and beats up to 40kHz, and TriMode combining regulated DC supply, signal generator, and audio amplifier functions.

Mini-Wave compact digital signal generator providing sine, square, triangle and sawtooth waveforms. Crystal locked, accuracy stated as approximately 0.01 percent and stability stated as perfect. Runs from 240V mains and provides adjustable output of 15V peak to peak or 5V AC RMS. Output can supply up to 1 amp into the load and is current limited against overload. IEC quick set system permits fast setting of preset frequency, resolution is 0.1Hz up to 10kHz, and from 10kHz up to 100kHz resolution is 1Hz. Used for experiments using Kundt’s apparatus, audio experiments, or resonance experiments using inductance and capacitance, and can be used to demonstrate oscilloscope functions. The large output power permits the running of very large speakers or vibraters, such as Melde-s Apparatus.

IEC high power signal generator in small housing with sloping front panel, described as popular in schools and universities. High current output allows running large speakers and other mechanical devices directly without an amplifier. Range 0.1Hz to 100kHz over six ranges by graduated knob. Output 1: 600 ohm impedance, 0 to 10V peak. Output 2: 20 ohm impedance, 0 to 10V peak, output current limited at 0.5A. Selectable waveforms are sine, triangular, square with plus minus excursion, and square with plus excursion only.

IEC digital Wave-Lab dual wave signal generator for study of wave theory. Microprocessor generates two sets of very accurate and stable frequencies up to 40kHz that can be added to one another, exactly shifted in phase relative to one another, or modulated by one another. Waveforms can be selected as sine, triangular or sawtooth. High power amplifiers permit driving large speakers or headphones for private listening. An oscilloscope can be used to view waveforms and effects, and harmonics, beat frequencies and other phenomena can be studied. Output power is digitally controlled and a keyboard system allows any frequency to be entered. External signals can be applied and a microphone and headphones are included in the kit.A pair of suitable wide range speakers is available. See LC-80-LB2065-001

IEC TriMode signal generator remodelled and upgraded, described as three instruments in one for electronic experiments. Provides a metered and regulated ±1.2 to 20V DC power supply at 250mA output. Provides a high power signal generator from 0.1 to 100kHz. Provides an audio amplifier with high and low sensitivity inputs, oscilloscope output and internal speaker. The signal generator has a specification similar to LC-80-LB3754-001 with the same waveforms and the same high power output of 0.5A. This instrument is excellent value for money.
