Film thickness is 0.18 mm across the range. Options include 50 x 50 mm, 75 x 75 mm, and 100 x 100 mm pairs, a 300 x 300 mm sheet area option, a 100 x 100 mm pair with printed circular scale, and a rotating graded disc assembly with a 50 mm centre filter.

Pair of special polaroid filters with a scale printed on each. One scale is circular with degrees marked. The other is a simple cross for alignment of one filter over the top of the other. Rotary displacement can be measured on the scale as behaviour of light transmission is studied. Size is 100 x 100 mm. Thickness of the polaroid film is 0.18 mm.

A pointer indicates around a circular scale and points to zero where the filters are aligned so transmission of light is at a maximum.
