The Low Form Fused Silica Crucibles Without Lid, also known as fused silica laboratory crucibles, are designed for controlled heating applications in laboratory and educational settings. These crucibles are made from fused silica and supplied in a low form design. The product is supplied without a lid, making it suitable for applications where open crucible heating is required. The listed temperature suitability is up to 1000°C, supporting a range of compatible laboratory heating, sample preparation and material testing workflows.
Fused silica crucibles are suitable for selected scientific applications such as chemical synthesis, metallurgy, residue testing and controlled heating procedures where the sample and heating conditions are compatible with the crucible material. The pricing is for fused silica translucent crucibles. Transparent fused quartz crucibles are available separately on request for customers requiring that material and finish. Users should confirm the required crucible size, capacity, heating temperature, ramp rate, cooling method and chemical compatibility before use. Not all chemicals or furnace conditions are suitable for fused silica.
Hot crucibles should be handled only with suitable crucible tongs, heat-resistant gloves and approved PPE. The crucible should be allowed to cool safely before handling, cleaning or weighing. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected low form fused silica crucible without lid only.
