Description
Block – 96 place flat well micro-tray, when used with a dry block heater, is used for sample preservation and reaction work, enzyme digestions, enzyme activity studies, DNA amplification, incubation and activation of cultures, melting and boiling point work, and nucleic acid hybridisations.
Block – 96 place flat well micro-tray is designed for 96 well microtiter and PCR plates, with a chemical-resistant black anodised finish, thermometer reference hole, and evaporation manifolds available to suit.
Micro-plate blocks are designed to suit 2 place heaters or larger and can also fit many other brands of dry block heaters. These blocks occupy 2 standard block positions, so in 3 and 4 place heaters they can be used together with regular blocks, while a 4 place heater can accommodate 2 micro-plate blocks.
Each block measures L150 x W95 x H50 mm and is made from solid black anodised aluminium. The solid construction provides rapid heat transfer and fast block heat-up when used in a dry block heater.
Temperature uniformity is excellent, and all blocks are supplied with a thermometer hole for reference. Customised blocks are also available upon request when a standard block is unsuitable.
