Description
Portable pH Meter Kit PH850-SS with LabSen 753 Spear Probe for Food and Semi-Solid Samples, 0 to 14 pH, also known as a food pH meter kit, is designed for professional pH measurement in compatible food, solid and semi-solid sample workflows. This kit is suitable for meat, cheese, dairy products, fruit, dough, sushi rice, canning samples and other compatible semi-solid materials where direct pH testing is required. It is also suitable for general water-solution pH measurement when used with the correct testing method.
The supplied LabSen® 753 Spear pH/Temp Electrode is designed for direct sample testing and helps reduce the need for slurry preparation in suitable food and semi-solid applications. Its spear format supports sample penetration where a standard bulb electrode may not be practical.
The electrode uses a specialised blue gel inner solution, double-protected junction structure and long-life reference system. These features support stable measurement and help reduce junction clogging during suitable semi-solid sample testing.
The PH850 meter supports 1–3 point pH calibration and automatically recognises common pH standards including 1.68, 4.00, 7.00, 10.01 and 12.45. The meter also provides self-diagnosis, electrode slope display, auto power-off and easy parameter setting for routine use.
The large LCD display shows pH, temperature, stability status and completed calibration indicators. The IP57 waterproof rating, soft silicone case and foldable stand make the meter practical for handheld field use, production QC checks and benchtop-style laboratory operation.

Users should follow correct calibration, rinsing, cleaning and electrode storage procedures to support stable readings and electrode service life. For food and semi-solid samples, careful cleaning after each measurement is important to reduce residue build-up around the spear sensor.
