Description
The Low Form Quartz Crucibles, also known as fused quartz crucibles or fused silica crucibles, are designed for laboratory heating, ashing and sample preparation workflows where compatible high-temperature ceramic or quartz labware is required. Quartz crucibles are commonly used for heating solids, preparing residues, carrying out ignition procedures and supporting analytical sample preparation where suitable chemical and thermal compatibility has been confirmed. The quartz construction provides practical resistance to many laboratory chemicals and heating conditions, making these crucibles useful in chemistry laboratories, teaching laboratories, quality control laboratories and research environments.
These crucibles are suitable for use with compatible furnaces, hot zones and heating procedures, depending on the selected crucible size, wall thickness, shape and quartz grade. Users should confirm the required capacity, crucible form, maximum operating temperature, heating rate, cooling method, sample chemistry and furnace compatibility before ordering or use. Quartz crucibles should be heated and cooled gradually to reduce thermal stress. Avoid sudden temperature changes, mechanical shock, dropping, rough handling, contaminated heating surfaces and direct contact with incompatible materials.
Do not use with chemicals, fluxes or sample types that may attack quartz unless the method has been assessed and approved by the laboratory. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected quartz crucible only. Lid, furnace, tongs, desiccator, samples, chemicals, PPE and additional laboratory accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Quartz Crucibles and laboratory heating consumables for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories, research facilities and industrial laboratories requiring practical vessels for heating, ashing and sample preparation.
