Description
The Inoculating Loops, 3 mm, Ni/Cr Wire, also known as microbiology smear loops or microstreaker loops, are designed for use in approved microbiology workflows and teaching laboratory activities. Each loop has a listed diameter of 3 mm and is made from Ni/Cr wire, providing a practical reusable loop format for compatible inoculating loop holders. These loops are used mainly by microbiologists to retrieve a small amount of inoculum from a culture of microorganisms and transfer it to another medium or surface during approved procedures.
When fitted to a compatible holder, the loop can be used for plate streaking, smear preparation, culture transfer demonstrations and microstreaking activities. This pack is designed for use with the LC-80-BI0973-01 inoculating loop holder. The holder is sold separately, so users should confirm compatibility before ordering. The pack of 10 format is suitable for biology classrooms, microbiology teaching laboratories, university practical sessions and general educational laboratory stock.
Users should follow approved aseptic technique, sterilisation procedures, PPE requirements and containment practices when working with microorganisms.
