Description

IEC stroboscope options for classroom and industry, including a low voltage digital LED strobe for personal classroom use, xenon reflector stroboscopes for bright illumination in higher light environments, and mechanical stroboscopes using slotted discs to demonstrate shuttering and apparent motion. Digital models provide frequency adjustment with display in Hz or RPM and support external triggering and mains synchronisation, while disc models demonstrate stroboscopy through adjustable slot counts or motor controlled constant speed.

IEC digital LED stroboscope low voltage miniature unit for personal classroom use where extreme bright flashing of large xenon models is not desirable. Flashing is silent to improve concentration and eliminate noise in the classroom. LEDs provide bright white flash and microprocessor control provides absolute flash accuracy and stability. Frequency adjustable from 1 Hz to 500 Hz. Digital display selectable to show flashes per second in Hz or RPM for rotating devices. Powered by 12V AC plug pack. Can be triggered from an external source or synchronised with 50 Hz mains frequency. Provision for flashing a very small remote LED flash head. Measurements on moving objects can be taken without physical contact and motion can be slowed to a frozen or slowly moving image.

IEC xenon stroboscope model XE used in classroom and industry for many years. Large bright 150 mm diameter reflector throws very bright light on the subject and can be used even when background lighting is bright. Pivoting carry handle can also be used as a tilt support. Frequency adjustable from 1.0 Hz to 300 Hz and digital display indicates either flashes per second in Hz or RPM. Flash can be triggered from an external source and synchronised with mains frequency. The model ‘XEH’ permits the connection of a remote flash torch (LC-80-PA3812-004) or a flash head with 150mmD reflector (LC-80-PA3812-003). Powered from 220/240V AC mains.ee also model ‘XEH’ LC-80-LB3809-001

IEC xenon stroboscope model XEH used mainly in industry for many years. Model XEH permits connection of a remote flash torch (LC-80-PA3812-004) or a flash head with 150 mm diameter reflector(LC-80-PA3812-003). Hand stroboscope teaching device where the eye looks through a narrow slit while a disc with 12 slots is spun by the user’s finger so slot openings pass the stationary slit. Acts as a shutter and the eye sees rapid on off images of a moving object, and at correct disc speed the image appears stationary or slowly moving forwards or backwards. Model LB3851-001 has two discs adjustable to provide 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 12 slots in the rotating disc. New design is no longer made from wood and masonite, described as more compact, performs better, made from ABS plastic, with improved slot adjustment method.

IEC motorised stroboscope for teaching stroboscopy, designed to maintain constant speed more reliably than hand driven disc types. Motor driven stroboscope has inbuilt speed control and maintains constant speed reasonably well. Supplied with set of three discs with 4, 8 and 12 slots. Blank disc permits creation of a disc in the classroom. Unit can be supported on a retort stand with a boss head. Runs from either AC or DC up to 12V maximum.
