- Description
Description
Dual surface concave and convex mirrors for optics demonstrations and image formation activities. Includes a stand mounted “miracle mirror” hemisphere that shows dramatically different reflections on each side, plus an unbreakable 100 mm diameter plastic concave and convex mirror option for general lab and classroom use.
Miracle Mirror Concave Convex Stand Model, 150 mm Hemisphere, Life Like Image
Stand mounted 150 mm OD plastic hemisphere covered with aluminium. Back side functions as a concave mirror and front side functions as a convex mirror. Reflections of the same object on opposite sides are stated to be dramatically different. Listed feature is a life like image projected by the concave side, where the viewer may see their own image as if it were another real person.
Experiments listed include creating a life like image by placing an object before the concave side, placing a tiny object such as a pin on cardboard upside down to observe a projected image that cannot be touched, shining a flashlight to reflect a shadow on the real image side, observing greater apparent distance between objects in the convex reflection, and filling four fifths of the concave mirror with water so an object appears to rise out of the water.
Unbreakable Concave Convex Mirror, 100 mm Diameter, Plastic Dual Surface
Unbreakable concave and convex mirror listed as 100 mm diameter plastic concave and convex mirror. Described for optics, light reflection and image formation use where traditional mirrors may be susceptible to damage.
