Amber Glass Vacuum Desiccator with Lid, BORO 3.3 is designed for low moisture storage and vacuum drying of sensitive samples where light protection, chemical resistance, and secure sealing are essential. The amber glass body reduces UV and visible light transmission, helping protect photosensitive materials such as silver salts, dyes, pharmaceuticals, catalysts, polymers, and light sensitive reference standards from degradation while they are being dried or stored over desiccants.
Manufactured from high quality LabChoice BORO 3.3 borosilicate glass, the desiccator offers excellent thermal stability, low thermal expansion, and strong chemical resistance to a wide range of laboratory vapours and desiccants. BORO 3.3 glass performance aligns with recognised borosilicate standards such as ISO 3585 and ASTM E438 Type I, supporting dependable durability for repeated laboratory use. The thick walled construction is suited to vacuum service, and smooth internal surfaces support efficient cleaning and reduced residue carryover between batches.
The ground lid and seating surface are designed to provide a secure, low leak seal when properly used with appropriate vacuum grease if required, helping maintain stable vacuum levels and improve drying efficiency. A vacuum port enables connection to a pump or vacuum line, supporting faster solvent removal and moisture reduction compared with atmospheric desiccation.
