Description
Dissolved Oxygen Meter Kit DO8500 Portable Optical with Data Logger and 10 ft Cable, also known as a portable optical DO meter kit, is designed for dissolved oxygen measurement in field, onsite and routine laboratory water-quality testing. This kit is suitable for aquaculture, water treatment, beer brewing, wine making and general water-quality applications where users need dissolved oxygen measurement with compensation and data-recording support.
The optical DO sensor uses luminescence-based measurement technology. Unlike traditional polarographic or galvanic DO sensors, the optical probe does not consume oxygen during measurement, helping support stable readings in still or moving water samples.
The DO8500 includes automatic compensation for salinity, temperature and air pressure. These compensation functions help users manage common variables that can affect dissolved oxygen readings across different water conditions.
GLP/GMP data management supports 500 groups of data storage, while USB data output allows stored measurements to be transferred for further analysis, documentation and reporting. The large backlit LCD screen supports clear field and laboratory viewing. A foldable stand allows the meter to be used in a benchtop-style setup, while the rugged carrying case keeps the meter, probes and accessories organised for transport.
