Description
The Jacketed West Condenser, also known as a West-style laboratory condenser, is designed for controlled condensation in compatible chemistry glassware assemblies where vapour cooling and liquid recovery are required. This condenser is manufactured from BORO 3.3 chemistry grade glass, supporting routine laboratory use where thermal resistance, chemical durability and clear visual observation are important.
The jacketed body allows cooling water or a suitable circulating fluid to pass through the outer jacket during operation. This helps remove heat from vapour passing through the condenser and supports efficient condensation in suitable laboratory setups. The West condenser format is commonly selected where a straight jacketed condenser is required for compatible reflux, recovery or condensation workflows. Users should confirm the selected condenser against the method, vapour load, cooling requirement and full glassware configuration.
Multiple length and joint options are available, allowing laboratories to match the condenser to existing glassware systems. The listed length options are 200 mm, 300 mm and 400 mm, with joint options including 19/26, 24/29 and 24/40. Clear glass construction allows users to observe condensation behaviour, liquid movement and assembly condition during use. The condenser should be supported with suitable clamps and stands, and all tubing connections should be checked before starting coolant flow. This item is supplied as the condenser only. Flasks, adapters, tubing, clamps, retort stands, water supply equipment and additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
